Luxury Embossed Floral Pattern Paper Shopping Bag

The front and the back of the bag are one panel each, with no waistline seam across the middle. Because the body is built without that seam, neither face shows a crease line or a fold mark. The base is flat, so the bag stands on its own and the walls keep a straight line. The cloth handle is cut in the same shade as the paper, and it can also be a satin ribbon, a leather handle or another colour.

The flowers are embossed on both faces: the paper is pressed up from behind, so they stand off the surface on the front and on the back. A small gold stamp sits in the middle of some flowers, which catches the light. A pressed line frames each face, so the pattern sits inside a border. Because the pattern is a relief and not a large print, the bag keeps a plain face.

Under side light the flowers cast a small shadow, which is where the pattern is seen. In flat light the face reads as plain paper, so the bag stays quiet on a shelf. Because the surface is one colour, a photo does not need a styled background. In a shop window, the light that rakes across the panel is what shows the relief.
