A Handle You Can Carry in One Hand

The handle is a leather strap, so a full box can be carried in one hand from the table to the car. Each end passes through a slit in the top and is fixed with a rivet, so the load rides on the strap rather than tearing the board. The strap is soft enough to fold down when the boxes are stacked, and it stands back up when they are set out. Because the handle is fixed, a guest can carry two boxes, one in each hand, without them swinging into each other.

Gold Stamping You Can Feel With a Finger

- The gold is stamped rather than printed, so it sits above the paper and a finger feels the edge of it.
- Under a light the gold moves as the box is turned, which is what makes a table of them look alive.
- The stamped line follows the panel edges and the centre mark, so the box keeps a clean line when it is stacked.
- Colours, stamping and the mark itself are set per order, so a couple can carry their own initials.

The Charm Is the Point

A pearl or a small gold charm hangs from the bow, and it is what a guest notices first. The charm can be swapped: pearl for a classic wedding, gold for a Chinese wedding, or a plain bow for a modern one. Because the charm is tied on rather than glued, it can be taken off and kept as a small keepsake. Charms are set per order, so a couple can hand out two versions, one for each side of the family.

Folded Flat, Standing Square on the Table

- The box arrives folded flat, so a wedding order of several hundred comes as one carton instead of a pallet.
- It opens by hand into a square box, with no loose parts and no glue.
- The base is scored so it sits level, which matters when two hundred boxes are set out on one table.
- Flat boxes store between seasons and come out for the next order without losing their shape.

What a Table of Them Looks Like

A row of these boxes is meant to be seen together, so the print sits low on the panel and the handle line stays clear above it. Two ribbon colours are offered, a warm champagne and a deep red, so a couple can pick the one that matches the table. Three sizes let one table hold candy boxes, a chocolate box and a slightly larger one for a small gift. For suppliers, the same box covers engagement favours, wedding favours and anniversaries, so one line runs through three seasons.

Wedding Favours Are Our Factory's Own Line

Wedding favours are a line our factory runs on its own: the box, the leather handle, the satin bow and the charm are matched before the first box is folded. Because the ribbon, the charm and the insert are cut for the same size, a couple can order one size or three without going to a second supplier. Orders that go to wedding suppliers are packed by set, so a shop can hand out a box with its ribbon and charm already paired.
