Rivets Hold the Webbing
The handle is flat woven webbing, folded down over the rim and fixed to the front of the bag with two metal rivets. The pull travels through the rivets into the bag wall, so the weight is not hanging on a punched hole in the paper. The webbing is wide enough that a heavy bag does not cut into your hand. Pick the bag up full and the handle stays where it is, with the rim still straight.
Thick Kraft, Stands on Its Own
The bag is made from thick kraft board, so the walls stay upright and do not slump when it is only half full. The bottom is folded rather than a single flat sheet: the fold carries the weight, so a full bag keeps its shape and does not bow out at the base. Stand it on a counter and it stays up, leaving both hands free to pack it. The cream is warm rather than white, so it does not fight with a tea box or a wooden lid.
Cream Paper, Ink and Seal
- Brush calligraphy printed on the cream board, with matte ink that does not catch the light
- A small drawing of a tea pot and a cup, with a column of small text set beside it
- Red seals pressed over the layout, the only spot of colour on the face
- No lamination, so the grain of the paper can be felt and the brush strokes stay sharp
This is the usual layout for a tea gift; with your own wording and your own drawing, everything holds its place.
Your Text, Artwork and Size
What goes on the face is up to you: a line of calligraphy, a brand name, or your own drawing. The size can be set to the box it travels with, and the paper colour and the handle colour are matched to that same box. Every order is printed to your artwork, so no two clients end up with the same bag.
For Tea Gifts, Teaware and Crafts
- Tea gift boxes — the bag and the box in one palette
- Chinese tea gifts — a bag and a box, ready to hand over
- Teaware — a pot, cups and a fair-cup together
- Cultural gifts — bookmarks, incense or a fan
- Mid-Autumn — mooncakes and tea in one bag
- New Year tea gifts — a change of print colour for the season
The bag stays the same shape; what changes is the print and the size.
Cut, Printed and Riveted Here
We are a paper bag factory: cutting, printing, riveting and the folded bottom all happen in our own workshop. A repeat order runs on the same kraft board and the same plates, so the colour and the size match the first batch. We work only in paper packaging, so kraft, white card and specialty paper are all handled in one workshop and the range of boards we can pull from is wide. To change the wording, the drawing or the size, send the artwork over and we start once it is confirmed.
