White Outside, Deep Blue Inside — Two Colours as Soon as It Opens
The outside of the bag is a clean white, and the inside is lined in deep blue. The blue runs right up to the top edge, so the whole opening is blue with no white showing. Put something in the bag and that strip of deep blue shows at the opening, and anyone who looks in sees the colour straight away. White against deep blue gives the bag one more layer than a bag that is white all the way through, so it is easier to remember once it is on a shop shelf. The blue is matte, not shiny, and it sits well with the white outside.
Thick White Card — It Stands Up Empty and Does Not Fold When Carried
The paper is thick white card, so it feels solid in your hand instead of thin and hollow. An empty bag stands on a table on its own, and once it is loaded and picked up by the handle, the body does not fold in. Press the side with a finger and it does not give easily. So after a day of being carried around a shop — in and out of hands, put down and picked up — the bag is still the shape it was when it came off the shelf.
A Grey Webbing Handle, Wide Enough Not to Bite the Hand
-A fine rib runs down the webbing; it is woven, so it feels like fabric rather than plastic
-The webbing is wide, so a heavier bag does not press a line into your palm
-It is threaded through the holes cut at the top and fixed inside, so it will not pull open or work loose the more you carry it
-Grey next to the white body keeps out of the way
So the bag comes down to white, grey, and the one strip of deep blue at the opening — three colours, each in its own place, none of them taking over.
Matte Printing — No Shine, and a Nail Does Not Scratch It
The printing on the bag is matte, with no gloss in it: look at it head on or from the side and it does not glare. The printed area feels flat, level with the paper, with nothing raised on top. Drag a fingernail across it and it does not scratch easily, so the bag still looks new after it has been handed over a counter. This one is printed in two places — a thin line of text in the middle of the front, and a handwritten signature below it — and the joined-up strokes and thin lines of the handwriting all come out clean, with no blurring.
What Goes On, Where It Goes and in Which Typeface — All Your Call
-A line of text in the middle of the front — your brand name, a slogan, or a line of copy
-A handwritten signature below it, made from your own handwriting if you like
-A line of small text along the top edge
-A line running down the side panel
-The typeface, the size, the position and the bag size, all set to your order
-A small pattern as well, printed matte so it matches the words
Boutique clothing shops, cultural gift packing, light luxury accessory favours, brand store shopping bags and artful gift wrapping all use this same bag, with only the words changed.
From Paper to Finished Bag, All Under Our Own Roof
We are a source factory, not a trading company — printing, matte laminating, hot stamping, embossing, die-cutting and bag folding all happen in our own workshop, with no third party involved. The paper bags we make: grosgrain ribbon handle, satin ribbon handle, cotton rope handle, die-cut handle, kraft, colored card and specialty paper bags, and laminated bags. The paper boxes we make: lid-and-base, drawer, magnetic flip-top, folding, book-style flip, corrugated mailer and jewellery boxes, fitted with foam or velvet inserts where they are needed. Most of our work is for clothing, cultural gift and accessory brands. Small runs and bulk orders are both welcome — a few hundred pieces to start is no problem — and we make a sample first and shoot it in real light for you to approve. One coordinator follows your order from the first drawing to the day it ships.
