About this product

Product information from the supplier.

Product Overview

Sodium Hypochlorite – widely known as liquid bleach – reaches refined purity levels for laboratory and electronics applications. Reagent Grade (AR and GR) supports analytical chemistry where consistent oxidizing strength determines test accuracy. Electronic Grade serves semiconductor manufacturing where trace metals and particles cannot be tolerated.

Unlike commercial bleach containing stabilizers and unknown impurities, these high-purity forms come with certified specifications. AR meets analytical reagent standards with controlled free alkali content. GR offers tighter impurity control. Electronic Grade removes metals and particles for sensitive electronics cleaning.

Typical specification: 5% – 10% available chlorine. Low free alkali. Each grade ships with a lot-specific Certificate of Analysis documenting available chlorine and metal content.

Grades Available: AR | GR | Electronic Grade

Why Choose Our High-Purity Sodium Hypochlorite

Certified Purity, Fully Traceable – Every container includes a COA documenting available chlorine concentration and metal impurity levels. You receive verified data for your quality records.

Three Grades for Different Applications – AR for routine disinfectant testing. GR for stricter analytical requirements. Electronic Grade for semiconductor and electronics manufacturing.

Lab-Ready Packaging – Supplied in 500mL, 1L, 2.5L, 5L bottles. Light-resistant containers prevent decomposition.

Export Track Record – 13 years in chemical exports. Complete documentation supports your quality system.

Solutions We Provide

Disinfectant Efficacy Testing – QC laboratories use reagent sodium hypochlorite as a standard oxidizing agent for disinfectant validation studies. Known available chlorine concentration ensures reproducible results when testing bacterial and viral inactivation.

Residue Analysis on Surfaces – Analytical labs test for chlorine residues on food processing equipment and medical devices. Reagent grade sodium hypochlorite serves as a positive control for method development. Low impurities prevent false positives in residue detection.

Electronics Component Cleaning – Electronic Grade Sodium Hypochlorite removes organic residues from circuit boards and electronic assemblies. The high purity prevents metal introduction that could affect electrical performance. Used in specific cleaning protocols where strong oxidation is required without contamination.

Semiconductor Wafer Processing – In certain semiconductor cleaning steps, electronic grade sodium hypochlorite removes organic contaminants from wafer surfaces. The particle-free formulation prevents surface defects. Available chlorine concentration controlled for process consistency.

Wastewater Testing – Environmental laboratories test chlorine demand and residual chlorine in water samples. Reagent sodium hypochlorite provides standardized oxidizing strength for method calibration and quality control samples.

Pharmaceutical Cleaning Validation – Pharmaceutical QC labs use reagent sodium hypochlorite to validate cleaning procedures. Known concentration allows accurate assessment of cleaning agent residues on manufacturing equipment.

Related Products & Important Notice

Sodium Thiosulfate (Na₂S₂O₃), AR Grade – Used to neutralize chlorine; analytical labs purchase both for chlorine titration

Potassium Iodide (KI), AR Grade – Reacts with chlorine for iodometric titration; essential for available chlorine determination

Starch Indicator – Used alongside sodium thiosulfate for endpoint detection in chlorine titrations

Note: Reagent and electronic grades differ from commercial bleach. Never substitute household bleach in analytical work – stabilizers and unknown impurities will affect results.

Important – Strong Oxidizer – Decomposes Over Time

High-purity sodium hypochlorite decomposes gradually. Store in cool, dark conditions away from heat and sunlight. Segregate from acids (releases toxic chlorine gas), ammonia (forms chloramines), and organic materials. Use in well-ventilated areas. Contact us for SDS.

Frequently Asked Questions

Question

Answer

What is the difference between AR and GR?

GR (Guaranteed Reagent) has tighter impurity specifications than AR (Analytical Reagent).

What is electronic grade used for?

Electronics component cleaning, organic residue removal, and semiconductor wafer processing.

Do you provide COA with each bottle?

Yes – each lot has a Certificate of Analysis showing available chlorine concentration.

What packaging sizes are available?

500mL, 1L, 2.5L, 5L light-resistant bottles.

How does it differ from household bleach?

Certified available chlorine, low impurities, no unknown stabilizers, and batch traceability.

What is the shelf life?

Decomposes over time – typically 3-6 months depending on storage temperature.

Do you offer samples?

Small bottle samples available for qualified labs.

Lead time?

10–15 days after order confirmation.
