Product Overview

The Sheep Carcass Chilling Hook is an essential accessory used in sheep and goat slaughterhouses for suspending carcasses during the chilling, storage, and dispatch stages. Installed between the trolley pulley hook and the carcass, it enables multiple carcasses to be transported efficiently through overhead rail systems while maintaining adequate spacing for airflow.

Available in 4‑hanger, 6‑hanger, and 8‑hanger configurations, the hook assembly helps maximize cold room capacity without compromising carcass cooling performance. Constructed entirely from food‑grade stainless steel, it offers excellent corrosion resistance, high structural strength, and long service life in low‑temperature and high‑humidity environments.

Its modular design allows processors to select the appropriate hanger quantity according to slaughter capacity, rail spacing, and cold storage layout. The system is widely used in commercial sheep, lamb, and goat processing plants ranging from small regional abattoirs to fully automated export facilities.

Working Principle

After dressing and final inspection, each sheep carcass is suspended on a trolley pulley hook. The pulley hook is then connected to the multi‑hanger chilling hook assembly.

The chilling hook carries four, six, or eight carcasses simultaneously while traveling along the overhead rail inside the chilling room. Proper spacing between carcasses allows cold air to circulate evenly around each carcass, accelerating temperature reduction and improving meat quality.

When chilling is completed, the same hook assembly transfers the carcasses to cutting, deboning, packaging, or dispatch areas without manual re‑hanging, minimizing labor and handling damage.

  • Commercial sheep slaughterhouses

  • Goat processing plants

  • Halal abattoirs

  • Meat export facilities

  • Cold storage systems

  • Automated overhead rail lines

Application Case

Australia – Export Lamb Processing Plant

A lamb processor upgraded its cold room with 8‑hanger carcass chilling hooks to increase hanging density while maintaining sufficient airflow. The new system improved cold room utilization by approximately 30% and reduced manual carcass transfer operations.

Middle East – Halal Sheep Abattoir

A halal slaughter facility selected 6‑hanger chilling hooks integrated with an overhead tube rail conveyor. The system simplified carcass transportation from the slaughter hall to the chilling room, improving operational efficiency and hygiene.

Central Asia – Goat Processing Facility

A goat meat processor installed customized 4‑hanger hooks to match a compact cold room layout. The stainless steel construction ensured reliable operation under continuous daily production.
