About this product

Product Overview
The Horizontal Sheep and Goat Carcass Dehairing Machine is designed for whole‑carcass hair removal after scalding. A horizontal rotating shaft carries rubber working bars that contact and turn the carcass inside the chamber. This arrangement is aimed at processors producing skin‑on sheep or goat carcasses rather than removing the hide in a conventional dressing line.
The reference machine uses a 7.5 kW drive and has an effective working length of 1,800 mm. Its listed cycle time is 30–40 seconds and the stated dehairing rate is at least 92%. The source gives two inconsistent throughput figures—20–30 head per hour and a maximum of 100 head per hour. Buyers should not use either figure for line design until the supplier explains the batch size and test conditions.
Working Principle
A properly scalded carcass is placed in the horizontal chamber and the loading guard is secured. The motor rotates the central shaft and rubber bars sweep against the carcass, turning it so that friction reaches different surfaces. Loosened hair falls through or is flushed toward the collection area. After the preset 30‑40 second cycle, the shaft stops and the carcass is discharged for visual inspection and manual finishing. The chamber, shaft and bars are opened for thorough cleaning after production.

Application
The machine is intended for specialized sheep and goat processes that retain the skin and therefore require whole‑carcass scalding and hair removal. It is not a substitute for a hide puller. The line must provide a compatible scalding stage, safe loading device, hair separation from effluent, finishing station and product specification that permits skin‑on processing under local rules.
Reference Application Case
Reference application: a small goat processor develops a skin‑on product line
Carcasses are scalded under a validated time‑temperature program, drained briefly and then loaded one at a time into the horizontal dehairer. An operator inspects the discharge and removes residual hair at a finishing table. Hair is trapped in a removable screen before wastewater enters the drain. During acceptance testing, the buyer measures cycle time, finish quality and carcass damage on its normal weight range before setting the production rate.
Advantages
1. Mechanizes whole‑carcass hair removal for skin‑on products
2. Short reference cycle supports batch production
3. Rubber bars provide flexible contact around the carcass
4. Openable chamber allows inspection of the working shaft
5. Frame‑material options can be aligned with washdown and budget needs
