Product Overview
The Slope Type Pneumatic Sheep Skin Puller is built for the dehiding station of a sheep or goat dressing line. It replaces the hardest part of manual pulling with a guided, powered movement while leaving the operator in control of hide attachment and carcass presentation. The sloped arrangement helps the pull follow the carcass rather than dragging the hide across the floor or into adjacent work areas.
Its reference construction combines a galvanized or stainless main column, a stainless‑steel winding roller and a large pneumatic cylinder. The roller is motor driven, while compressed air supplies the controlled linear action. This mixed drive arrangement is practical for plants that want a repeatable pull without committing to a full hydraulic system. Surfaces and guards should be specified to suit the buyer's sanitation regime, rail height and available floor space.
Working Principle
After the forelegs and an initial section of hide have been opened manually, the operator secures the loosened hide to the pulling roller. The pneumatic cylinder positions the pulling assembly and the geared drive rotates the roller at a controlled speed. As the hide winds onto the roller, it separates from the carcass along the inclined pulling path. The operator monitors tension and stops the cycle if trimming is needed. At the end of the pull, the hide is released to the collection or hide‑conveying system and the roller is readied for the next carcass.
Main Features
Inclined pulling path suited to suspended sheep and goat carcasses
Motor‑driven stainless winding roller for a steady, repeatable pull
Pneumatic positioning based on a 0.6 MPa plant air supply
Reference capacity of up to 300 sheep per hour when correctly integrated
Choice of galvanized or stainless main column for different project budgets
Compact vertical footprint for installation beside an overhead dressing rail

Application
This puller fits small‑ruminant abattoirs using an overhead rail and a defined pre‑skinning station. It is most useful where manual hide removal limits output, creates uneven cycle times or causes operator fatigue. Before ordering, the plant designer should confirm carcass size range, rail elevation, operator platform level, compressed‑air quality, hide discharge direction and the hand‑off to the next dressing operation.
Reference Application Case
Reference application: a sheep plant is planning a nominal 200‑head‑per‑hour dressing line. Two operators open the legs and free the hide around the brisket before each carcass reaches the sloped puller. The unit removes the main hide while a downstream operator performs light knife work where required. A short belt conveyor receives the released hides. The layout reserves wash access on both sides and places the pneumatic controls outside the direct splash zone. This is an illustrative arrangement; actual staffing and line balance depend on animal condition and local inspection practice.
Advantages
1. Reduces sustained manual pulling and helps stabilize dehiding cycle time
2. Uses standard plant air rather than a dedicated high‑pressure hydraulic circuit
3. Controlled roller movement can reduce accidental hide tearing when properly operated
4. Narrow column format is easier to retrofit than a wide floor‑mounted machine
5. Can be matched with pre‑skinning platforms and a separate hide conveyor
