Product Overview

The Cattle Carcass Automatic Convey Rail is an automated overhead transportation system specially designed for beef slaughterhouses and cattle processing plants.

After slaughtering, dressing, inspection, and cleaning processes, cattle carcasses need to be transported into chilling rooms for controlled cooling. Traditional manual movement requires high labor input and may affect production efficiency.

This automatic conveyor rail system uses a motor‑driven chain pushing mechanism to move hanging cattle carcasses continuously along the overhead track. It provides stable transportation during chilling, storage, quarter cutting, and deboning processes.

The system is mainly composed of:

  • closed C‑beam rail track

  • forged transmission chain

  • carcass pushing blocks

  • wear‑resistant walking wheels

  • drive unit

  • tensioning device

  • supporting hangers

The automatic rail design helps slaughterhouses achieve continuous production, reduce manual handling, and improve carcass workflow management.

Working Principle

The automatic carcass convey rail works through an electric drive system.

The motor drives the forged chain installed inside the overhead C‑beam track. The chain is equipped with pushing fingers or blocks that contact the carcass trolley or hooks and move the carcasses forward at a controlled speed.

During chilling operation, the hanging carcasses travel through the cold room according to the preset route and residence time.

The frequency conversion control system can adjust transportation speed according to:

  • production capacity

  • chilling time requirements

  • processing schedule

After completing the chilling process, carcasses can continue automatically to the next processing area.

Main Features

1. Continuous Automatic Transportation

The system replaces manual carcass movement and allows continuous operation in modern beef processing plants.

2. Heavy Duty Rail Structure

The equipment uses a closed C‑beam overhead track structure, providing:

  • strong load capacity

  • stable running performance

  • long service life

3. Forged Chain Drive System

The transmission chain is manufactured with high‑strength forged components, suitable for heavy beef carcass transportation.

4. Hygienic Food Processing Design

Main components can be manufactured using:

  • stainless steel

  • hot galvanized steel

The structure is designed for wet and low‑temperature slaughterhouse environments.

5. Stable Carcass Movement

The high polymer wear‑resistant walking wheels reduce friction and ensure smooth operation.

6. Adjustable Conveying Speed

Optional frequency conversion control allows operators to adjust the transportation speed according to production requirements.

7. Suitable for Large Chilling Rooms

The rail system can be customized according to:

  • cold room length

  • production capacity

  • factory layout

  • carcass weight

Application Case

Automatic Chilling Conveyor System for Beef Processing Plant

A beef slaughterhouse required an automatic transportation solution between carcass processing and cold storage areas.

The original manual transportation method caused:

  • high labor cost

  • inconsistent movement speed

  • difficulty controlling chilling time

After installing the cattle carcass automatic convey rail:

  • carcasses moved automatically through the chilling room

  • production flow became more stable

  • operators reduced manual handling work

  • cold room management became easier

The system was customized according to the customer's chilling room size and daily slaughter capacity.

Advantages

  • 1. Improved Production Efficiency
Automatic transportation allows continuous carcass movement and reduces waiting time.

  • 2. Better Chilling Process Control
Stable conveying speed helps maintain consistent carcass cooling time.

  • 3. Reduced Labor Cost
The system minimizes manual pushing and handling operations.

  • 4. Hygienic Operation
Closed overhead transportation reduces unnecessary contact and improves meat hygiene.

  • 5. Long‑Term Reliability
Heavy‑duty chain drive and industrial rail structure ensure stable operation in demanding slaughterhouse environments.

  • 6. Customized Layout Design
The rail route can be designed according to:
    ● chilling room dimensions
    ● production capacity
    ● processing workflow
