Product Overview

The cattle hind legs separation device is specially designed for beef slaughterhouses and cattle abattoirs to separate and fix the rear legs of cattle carcasses during the dressing and carcass splitting process.

After slaughtering and skin removal, the cattle carcass is transported by an overhead rail conveyor system. During carcass splitting, inspection, trimming, and further processing, keeping the hind legs at a fixed distance is important to maintain carcass stability and improve operator safety.

This pneumatic leg separation system automatically spreads the two hind legs and locks them in position, preventing unwanted movement during carcass processing.

The equipment is mainly composed of stainless steel or hot galvanized connectors, rail sliders, pneumatic leg fixing mechanisms, and a pneumatic control system. It can be installed directly on cattle carcass conveyor rails and works continuously with the slaughterhouse workflow.

Compared with manual leg positioning methods, the cattle hind legs separator improves processing consistency, reduces labor requirements, and creates a safer working environment for operators.

The device is commonly used together with:

  • Cattle carcass splitting saw

  • Overhead carcass conveyor

  • Carcass inspection platform

  • Carcass processing elevator

Working Principle

The cattle hind legs separation device operates through a pneumatic control system installed on the overhead carcass rail.

When the cattle carcass enters the working position, the pneumatic cylinder activates the leg separation mechanism. The two rear legs are pushed outward to a preset distance and fixed securely.

The sliding mechanism follows the movement of the carcass conveyor, allowing continuous operation without removing the carcass from the rail.

After the splitting or inspection process is completed, the pneumatic system releases the fixation and allows the carcass to continue moving to the next processing stage.

The pneumatic drive provides fast response, stable positioning, and reliable operation in continuous beef processing environments.

Main Features

1. Pneumatic Leg Separation System

The equipment uses compressed air as the driving power.

Advantages:

  • Fast operation
