Plastic Zipper Gapping Machine Working Principle
The gapping process on the HTD‑PG01 follows a precise sequence of “positioning → cutting → separation”:
Positioning – The presser plate firmly clamps both sides of the zipper tape, securing it in the exact working position.
Cutting – The cutting blade descends and engages the zipper tape. Under the action of the power mechanism, the blade pulls outward on both sides, separating the targeted teeth from the tape.
Removal – The upper and lower punches work together to thoroughly remove any remaining tooth fragments from the gap area.
Collection – The removed tooth debris is channeled into a waste collection system, keeping the machine and the surrounding area tidy.
All these actions are precisely synchronized by multiple cams set at different angles on the main motor shaft, ensuring seamless coordination of each step.
Plastic Zipper Gapping Machine Application Scenarios
The Plastic/Delrin Zipper Gapping Machine is widely used in various industries that rely on zippers as fastening components:
Garment Manufacturing – Outerwear, trousers, sportswear, children’s clothing, and other apparel requiring precise zipper sizing.
Luggage & Handbags – Backpacks, suitcases, travel bags, and other luggage items.
Outdoor Gear – Tents, sleeping bags, and other outdoor equipment.
Stationery & Home Textiles – Pencil cases, document bags, storage pouches, and home textile products.
This equipment is particularly well‑suited for factories that require high‑volume, high‑precision zipper production. It can be paired with other machines such as slider inserters, bottom‑stop applicators, and tape‑sealing units to form a complete automated zipper production line.
