ACE-031

ACE-031 is an investigational recombinant fusion protein designed to promote muscle growth by acting as a myostatin inhibitor. By functioning as a decoy receptor, it neutralizes proteins that naturally limit muscle development. 

While preclinical and early clinical studies showed promising increases in lean muscle mass, its development for human use was halted due to safety concerns and vascular side effects. It is strictly used in controlled, in vitro biochemical and preclinical research.
