-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (
-MSH). Primarily used to stimulate melanin production and promote skin tanning, it was FDA-approved in 2019 (marketed as Scenesse) to prevent severe phototoxic reactions in patients with erythropoietic protoporphyria (EPP).
