X-Ray Upright Bucky Shield

Made for upright chest and extremity work, this stand-mounted shield gives techs a movable barrier that doesn't bolt to the floor. Two leaded curtains — upper and lower — flip a full 360°, so you can aim the shielding at the scatter angle and swing it out of the way when the patient needs to reposition.

The floor stand sits at 2060 mm tall with the base and rolls on a mix of swivel and locking casters. At 0.5 mm Pb, it's light enough for one person to move around the room yet still covers routine diagnostic scatter from standing projections.

In the Room

For a standing PA chest, set the shield between the tube side and your workstation, then flip the upper or lower curtain to match the projection's scatter zone. Switching to a different view? Rotate the curtain or roll the whole stand — no tools, no disassembly. When the room's done, park it against the wall and lock the casters.

The 0.5 mm Pb curtain keeps the unit manageable, so techs aren't wrestling a heavy panel between patients. Casters roll smooth on clinic floors and hold once locked.
