Floor-to-Ceiling X-Ray Shield with Articulating Arm

This shield mounts from floor to ceiling, so it doesn't eat up floor space or get in the way of equipment carts. The vertical post is cut to your room's actual ceiling height, and an 860 mm horizontal arm plus a 920 mm swing arm let you park the shielding panel right over the work area — then pivot it clear when the case wraps up.

The shielding panel is an 800 × 600 mm sheet of lead acrylic at 0.5 mm Pb equivalence, imported from Japan. Lead acrylic stays optically clear and weighs less than lead glass, so the arm holds it steady without sag and you can see straight through to the patient.

In Practice

Set the post between floor and ceiling in your cath lab or interventional suite, then extend the horizontal and swing arms to place the clear panel between the source and the operator. It holds position during the case, and when you need full access to the table, just swing the panel to the side — no rolling, no wrestling a floor stand out of the way.

Because it's overhead, it fits rooms where floor space is tight or where mobile shields keep getting bumped into equipment. The Japanese lead acrylic stays clear over time and doesn't yellow the way lower-quality sheet does.
