Three-Panel Mobile X-Ray Protective Screen

This three-panel screen covers a wider shielding zone than a single flat panel — without cutting into visibility or mobility. The center panel has a large lead-glass viewing window, and the two side panels swing out to cover the angles where scatter tends to slip through. A 0.5 mm Pb lead curtain seals the gap between panels, so there's no weak spot at the hinge.

The frame is built on a lead-and-steel core with a powder-coated finish — clean, durable, and easy to wipe down between cases. The lead-glass window matches the panel's 1.0 mm Pb equivalence and stays clear: no yellow tint, no spots, bubbles, or inclusions, just high light transmission. Six quiet-roll casters handle movement — two swivel and two locking swivel on the main panel, plus one swivel on each side panel.

How It Sets Up

Stand the center panel facing the X-ray source, then swing out one or both side panels to wrap around the work area. The lead-glass window keeps the patient and equipment in view while you stay behind shielding. When the case wraps up, fold the sides flat and roll the whole unit out of the way — no mounting, no installation.

The powder-coated surface takes daily cleaning and the occasional bump in stride. Casters roll quietly on clinic floors and lock down solid once you're in position.
