About this product

Product information from the supplier.

Product Overview

Rectangular Forged Block is intended for non-standard industrial components where the drawing, not a catalogue size, determines the forging route. In this type of order, the supplier must consider forging reduction ratio, datum location, machining stock distribution, heat-treatment compatibility, and inspection planning from the beginning of the process.

A rectangular forged block is especially useful when the final part geometry is governed by machined planes, pockets, or connection faces. The forging provides a stronger and more controlled material base than a plate-built or cut-from-larger-stock alternative.

Key Advantages

Drawing-Driven Forging Route — The process starts from the customer drawing so stock, forging flow, and datum logic are aligned with final machining.

Lower Downstream Risk — A proper custom forging reduces the chance of over-machining, hidden defects, or inefficient material use in complex parts.

Flexible Geometry — Non-standard shapes, heavy sections, and unusual machining allowances can be incorporated from the beginning.

Integrated Manufacturing Support — Heat treatment, rough machining, NDT, and reporting can be coordinated within one manufacturing route.

Suitable for OEM Projects — This family is designed for equipment builders and project contractors who need forged material integrity in non-standard parts.

Typical Applications

• Rectangular machined parts

• Heavy support blocks

• Datum-intensive machined components

• Non-round structural forgings

Supply Scope and Inspection

Rectangular Forged Block can be supplied as a forging blank, heat-treated forging, rough-machined forging, or semi-finished part according to the customer’s process route. Where the project requires closer dimensional control, additional OD/ID/facing, journal, bore, or drilling work can be incorporated before shipment.

For inspection-sensitive orders, Yongxinsheng can coordinate ultrasonic testing, MT/PT where applicable, PMI, hardness checks, mechanical testing, marking, EN 10204 3.1 documentation, and third-party witness arrangements. This makes the product suitable not only for general industrial procurement but also for project-based orders with stricter quality-document requirements.
