Chemical properties: Pale yellow crystals. It is readily soluble in water but insoluble in alcohol. It has no fixed melting point. It begins to dehydrate when heated to 50℃, becomes anhydrous at 81.5℃ and decomposes at 435℃.
Application: Widely used in the manufacturing of blue pigments, blue blueprint papers, paint dyes and the dyeing and printing industry. It is used as an iron remover in the production process in the pharmaceutical industry. It can also be used for carburizing steel, anti-corrosion of metal surfaces, tanning of leather, production of red blood salt, anti-caking agent for table salt and crystallization softening agent, etc.
