1.MECHANISM OF ACTION

HBV polymerase (455-463) acts as a HLA-A*0201-restricted cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL) epitope derived from the viral polymerase. When processed and presented by antigen-presenting cells, it activates virus-specific CTLs, which can recognize and eliminate HBV-infected hepatocytes, thereby contributing to a targeted antiviral immune response.

2.PRODUCT INDICATIONS

This peptide is used in HBV immunotherapy research, T-cell activation studies, epitope mapping, and the development of therapeutic vaccines. It is also applied in immunological assays and preclinical studies evaluating adaptive immune responses against HBV infection.

3.CLINICAL EFFICACY OF PRODUCT

Preclinical studies indicate that peptides targeting HBV polymerase can elicit strong, virus-specific T-cell responses in model systems. While this epitope itself is not a direct therapeutic, its immunogenic properties support its use as a tool for developing and evaluating HBV-specific immunotherapies and vaccine candidates.
