Construction Procedures

1. 1. Placing metal membrane in the tundish, leaving a working gap of 5-12cm between the permanent lining and the membrane.
2. 2. Manually pouring dry vibrating material into the gap, vibrating the membrane to make it dense.
3. 3. Heating (temperature 250°C-400°C) in the membrane with a heater for 1-2 hours.
4. 4. After cooling down, lift the membrane away.
5. 5. When baking tundish, first bake on medium-low heat for 1 hour, and then bake red over high heat, and then pour steel.

Notes

1. 1. After the tundish is baked red, the tundish wall should not be cooled down, so as to avoid loose cladding structure and guarantee the performance.
2. 2. During the first tapping, the temperature of hot steel shall be raised appropriately to avoid nozzle clogging.
